Manchester, MA — Paul J. Cook, 73, husband of Paula E. (Skudlark) Cook, of Manchester-by-the-Sea, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, May 26, 2012, at his home.
Born on December 6, 1938, son of the late Donald T. and Jeanette (Darsigny) Cook. Paul grew up in Rockport and had attended school in Rockport, later graduating from Gloucester High School. He went on to graduate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and later earned his law degree from George Washington University.
Paul had worked as a Patent Attorney in Boston, Topsfield and at his home in Manchester.
He was an accomplished photographer and loved renaissance art. He was also a golf enthusiast and was a member of the Essex County Club.
He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by his three children, Paul E. Cook Jr. and wife Jennie of Belgium and their children Lorenzo and Julian, Scott A. Cook and wife Robbi of Kensington, CA. and their children Samantha and Peter, Catherine A. Cook of New York City and her daughter Cerentha who was the love of Pual’s life; his brothers Ted Cook and wife Millie of York, ME., Raymond Cook and wife Judy of Seal Beach, CA; La Salette Brother David Cook of Hartford, CT.; Alan Cook and wife Mercedes of Portsmouth, VA., sisters-in-law from California Nancy Johnson, Judith Maynes and husband John, and Linda Skudlark.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Manchester, on Thursday, May 31st, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
