Josephine "Jo" (Chianciola) Brown, 84


St. Petersburg, Fl — BROWN, Josephine "Jo" 84, of St. Petersburg, born on June 1, 1928 in Gloucester, MA, to John and Sebastiana Chianciola, passed peacefully on Nov. 14, 2012. She graduated from GHS class of 1946, Bryant College & The Chamberlain School of Retailing. Jo moved to St. Petersburg in 1955 & retired from The Times Publishing Co., St. Petersburg after a 31 year career that began as a typesetter and then as the food and fashion columnist. Jo enjoyed crafts especially interior decorating. She is survived by her three children, Norman R. Brown Jr., Kimberly K. Foust and Jon K. Brown of St. Petersburg; 4 granddaughters and 3 great-grandchildren. Jo is survived by siblings; Seraphina Del Torchio of Essex, Lib Chisholm and Ben Chianciola of Gloucester; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Reed Brown Sr. and sister, Louise Crone.
