Manuel D. Goulart Sr., 66


Gloucester — Manuel D. “Manny” Goulart Sr., 66, beloved husband of Maria F. (Cardoso), of Gloucester, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

Born in Pico, Azores, Portugal on April 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Joao Domingos Goulart and Alice Nazare (da Silva) Goulart.

Manny grew up in Pico and attended school there. After moving to Gloucester, he had worked at LePages for 28 years. He then had been working as a machinist at Bomco for the last ten years.

Manny was a very active member of the DES Club and was a Communicant at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church. He was known to be very crafty as a handy man and enjoyed listening to soccer games on the radio.

Most of all, Manny was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Maria of 37 years, he is survived by his two sons, Manuel Goulart Jr. and his wife, Noel of North Andover, Carlos Goulart of Gloucester; his granddaughter, Lenna Goulart; his godson, Manuel Humberto Silva and his family.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
