Katherine “Kay” Langley

DANVERS — Katherine “Kay” Langley of Danvers died on Wednesday, November 28th, 2012, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She is the mother of Adrianne Bradstreet of Danvers.

Born in Gloucester, daughter of the late George and Rita Elwell, Kay attended the Gloucester Public Schools. She lived in Gloucester, Rockport and Danvers throughout her life.

During her life in Gloucester, she was a member of the Trinity Congregational Church. Kay was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women’s Group. She was a Brownie leader and a president of the Mother’s Circle for Rainbow Girls.

Kay and her family moved to Rockport. While living in Rockport, she was a member of the First Congregational Church and was an active member of the Women’s Fellowship Group and a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Rockport Women’s Club and the Rockport Garden Club, where she had been one of the Directors and was a past Recording Secretary. She was a past Chairman of their flower show. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Community League.

In Danvers, Kay was a member of the Maple Street Congregational Church. She taught Sunday school and served on several committees. She was also a member of the Women’s Guild and the Maple Eves.

Kay was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her daughter Adrianne, Kay is survived by her son-in-law, Bill Bradstreet of Danvers; her two granddaughters, Robyn Morin and her husband, Don of Beverly and Nicole Paris Bradstreet of Danvers; her three great-grandchildren, Austen, Troy and Andrew Morin and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers.
