Lynn — Caroline E. Smith, 75, formerly for Maplewood Avenue, Gloucester, died February 18, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. In recent years, she had resided at the Atlantic Rest Home in Lynn.
Born in Gloucester on December 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late, Harry N. and Clara (Critchett) Smith. She was raised in Gloucester and attended Gloucester public schools. During the 1960’s she had worked as a fish packer at the Progressive Fish Wharf, having left to care for her sickly mother and two brothers. She later attended the friendship group at the Stanley Marchant Building, before becoming ill.
Caroline is survived by several cousins in Gloucester, New Hampshire, New Mexico and California. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Kenyon and Hubert Smith.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held on Thursday morning in the Beechbrook Cemetery at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
