Gloucester, MA — Paul L. Sampson, 82, of Gloucester, passed away May 25, 2013. Paul was the husband of Frances (Kushmerek) Sampson, and father of James P. Sampson, Denise M. (Sampson) Maliski and Elaine (Sampson) Maliski. He is also survived by his nephew, William J. Perry; niece, Jeanine M. Perry; and several grandchildren. He served his country proudly during the Korean War by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps and prior to that, he served in The National Guard of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and The National Guard of the United States. Paul was employed as a burner and welder at various U.S. Naval shipyards. Later in life he turned one of his hobbies, clamming, into his employment.
