Make the most of hearing on middle school pick

By Ray Lamont , Editor
Gloucester Daily Times

While pushing back last week's planned School Commitee vote on whether the Fulller School or O'Maley buildings will make the most sense for use as a middle school, Committee Chairman Greg Verga reminded his colleagues it will be still be their decision - regardless of which option draws the most support at this Wednesday's public hearing.

But we'd also like to issue a reminder to parents and residents: If you have some insight as to which would be the most effective middle school for Gloucester's future, the Wednesday hearing - set for 7 p.m. at City Hall - offers a chance for you to have your say.

Don't gripe after the fact about the school committee's difficult choice. Speak up when it counts - Wednesday night.
