To the editor:
If it's not broken, don't fix it.
How many accidents have occurred at Five Corners over the past 50-plus years? I don't remember one, and I've lived in Rockport for 31 years.
I drive through Five Corners every day without a problem. Everyone — including tourists — seem to yield to each other without a problem.
For one thing, I don't want to see the elders of Rockport endure anymore inconvenience, by building this "test rotary" suggested by Mr. George (Letters, the Times, Wednesday, April 11).
And where, exactly, will the money (think hundreds of thousands of dollars!) come from to do this so-called "trial run?"
I can't believe how someone who held a public office in Rockport could even suggest such an idea.
I think it's absurd, truly absurd.
