To the editor:
All weekend, everywhere I turned, I heard the same two words on the air-waves: Fast and Furious.
Well, I'm not fast, maybe half-fast, but, I am furious.
We have a border agent, Brian Terry, found lying dead amongst weapons that our administration sent across an international border to known criminals. It no longer matters who in the Department of Justice authorized the program.
The attorney general, as head of the department, is responsible; and now that the president has invoked executive privilege, which is tantamount to Whitey Bulger, invoking his Fifth Amendment rights.
The president has become complicit with the AG in the involuntary manslaughter, not murder (there was no intent), of Agent Terry; and both should be either charged or impeached for the commission of that crime.
It's been 18 months since the agent's death at the hands of the DOJ; his family should be able to sleep at night, knowing the rule of law that their son died protecting actually applies to everyone, and that Justice is Blind!
