Letter: Local 'Survivor' urges fund-raiser support

To the editor:

Being on “Survivor” two years ago truly was an incredible experience.

Probably the most rewarding part of the experience are the opportunities it has provided and the people I’ve been fortunate to meet. One of those people is Gillian Larson, from “Survivor: Gabon.”

Gillian transformed her “Survivor” experience into the creation of “Reality Rally” an Amazing Race-type fundraising event in her hometown of Temecula, Calif., which features hundreds of reality TV stars and raises tens of thousands of dollars for charity!

Gillian has been to Gloucester twice to visit now. She’s been in a dory, out on Ten Pound Island and she absolutely loves it. She loves our passion and dedication and she’s asked me to represent Gloucester and come and participate in “Reality Rally 2013”!

I’m excited about going — hopefully making Gloucester proud this time— and helping raise funds, but I need your help.

I know times are tough right now, but I would greatly appreciate any amount you would be able to donate. I don’t make a dime, 100 percent of the net proceeds go to Michelle’s Place, a unique Breast Cancer Treatment Center that helps women who can’t afford the high costs of breast cancer treatment.

This program provides free breast health services to uninsured women! Please visit www.michellesplace.org to learn more about this very worthwhile organization. One never knows if it is your dollar that saves a life. But your donation is tax deductible so please donate if you can.

It’s easy!

Just go to www.realityrally.com,click on 2013 “Reality Star lineup” and find my name or simply mail a check to Reality Rally, 41893 Niblick Rd, Temecula. California. 92591.
