To the editor:
In the Times' May 9 editorial, "Warren owes answers on minority status," you asked this question: "And if she did benefit from her minority 'box-checking,' consider this: How many Native-American or other minority candidates were left behind because of her claims?"
Consider this instead.
Only the people involved in making decisions about which applicants to select in general and Ms. Warren specifically will be able to give that answer.
The absence of information from the appropriate school sources does not bring honor to the editorial position you have taken.
There are so many actions that are more worthy of your editorial commentaries.
How about the voting positions of current Sen. Scott Brown and the positions Ms. Warren has taken?
That would carry some substance onto the editorial page and we all might appreciate reading comments instead of implied, unsupported improprieties.
You can do better.
