Letter: Brown has already shown she can do clerk's job

To the editor:

While I don't pretend to know much about the duties of a town clerk, I'm certain that the best preparation for any job is actually doing it.

Pat Brown has worked for 12 years at Rockport's Town Hall, seven of them as assistant town clerk and acting town clerk.

I can't remember how many questions Pat's answered for me during that time; I only recall that she was always accessible, taking the time to explain something I didn't understand — and that involved a multitude of topics!
