To the editor:
I'll be voting for Sandy Jacques next Tuesday.
I don't think a single remark, taken out of context, warrants ejecting him from the Board of Selectmen.
The issue of sexism has been millennia in the making, and won't be resolved overnight by making Sandy a scapegoat. Also, I'm uncomfortable with all this political haymaking.
As a friend recently said to me: "I'd be flattered if someone sent me back to the kitchen, considering my culinary skills."
Let's lighten up, give the man a break, and stop making mountains out of molehills.
