Letter: Volunteers are key to hospitals' culture

To the editor:

On behalf of Northeast Hospital Corp., which includes Beverly Hospital, Addison Gilbert Hospital and Beverly Hospital at Danvers, I would like to extend my gratitude to our volunteers for all they do and all they bring to our hospitals and communities.

Volunteers at Northeast Hospital Corp. contribute in a variety of ways throughout our facilities, including visiting with patients, transporting patients to different areas of the hospitals, helping in the gift shop and providing guidance to our visitors. They extend their support of our mission of quality, caring and community through the donation of their time and individual talents to help others, and for that our hospitals are very grateful.

Last week, we celebrated our volunteers during National Volunteer Week and we want to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for their dedication, kind hearts and service.

Our volunteers bring a distinctive and devoted culture to our hospitals and their presence is greatly valued by our hospitals' staff and patients.
