Letter: Wilkinson, Sheedy-Moores deserve votes in Rockport

To the editor:

Two intelligent and experienced women are running for selectman in Rockport.

Sarah Wilkinson, with six years experience on the board, her professional demeanor and leadership has brought efficiency and collaboration to public meetings. Add to that her business acumen, focused problem solving ability, extensive knowledge of Rockport's town government and her steadfast dedication. Rockport is fortunate that she is running for re-election.

Wilhelmina (Mina) Sheedy-Moores is running as a write-in candidate for selectman. She is an experienced attorney with an open view point on the issues and a strong work ethic. She has served on the Board of Appeals for seven years and as chairman for one year.

Her reputation for having a fair minded attitude, her positive working relationship with its members and the respect she has for each person who comes before the appeals board will carry over to the Board of Selectmen.

Her analytical ability helps her make informed decisions and recommendations. Her knowledge of major issues in Rockport and her fresh perspective will have a positive impact on the Board of Selectmen.

On Tuesday, May 8, we will vote to re-elect Sarah Wilkinson and write in Wilhelmina Sheedy-Mooers.
