To the editor:
I would like to commend the quick response of two of our city's Department of Public Works crew.
On my morning walk the other day, I met them at Stage Fort Park and asked if they could possibly repair two broken swings at the Fort Square playground. They not only responded to my request in a respectful manner, they actually followed through with their promise.
I know it's easy to be critical and judgmental of our city employees, but I would like to give a major shout out to Richard Pino and Leo Amero.
You are a credit to your profession — and a source of our civic pride.
