---- — To the editor,
Once, you had to achieve something: For example — Ted Williams enters Baseball’s Hall of Fame.
Now there are halls of fame for anything and anybody.
For example — soon there will be a Bat Boy Hall of Fame. How about a Hall of Fame for custodians?
What is behind this impulse to commemorate blindly?
It may be better not to ask.
But one does ask — and one may know. There is little really important in our society.
