To the editor:
Friday's celebration of Fenway Park's 100th anniversary will include Bill MacLeod, a 1960 graduate of Gloucester High.
Bill will be among the many former Red Sox major leaguers who will be participating in this year's celebration on April 20.
Bill and his former teammates will be arriving from all parts of the nation to be honored on the field during the festivities.
Bill was an outstanding pitcher and hitter for a championship Gloucester High team. Upon graduation, Bill signed with the Boston Red Sox and pitched in the Red Sox organization, including a stint in the majors in the later 1960s.
Bill resides with his wife Nancy in Marblehead, where he recently retired from the banking industry. Bill is still an avid Red Sox fan.
