Good grief!
The city has presented studies conducted by Massachusetts Development for four options for development of the Fuller School property and is considering a fifth: city government moved to Fuller School.
Yet, unbelievably, the options studied do not include renovating the school for use as a school.
Perhaps there are better uses for Fuller than its designed use, but surely use as a school would make any objective list of uses to be considered.

The idea advanced by Superintendent Richard Safier for a potential new school in West Gloucester housing up to perhaps 500 pupils at least recognizes the need for a school that would include more than the current West Parish enrollment of 380, as we've proposed in the past.
Continued ...Whatever one thinks of President Obama's health care reforms, their cost shouldn't be even partially balanced on the back of a single industry.
Yet under that law, beginning in 2013, manufacturers of medical devices will be subject to a 2.3 percent excise tax on their sales.
To the editor:
On Cape Cod, where town clerks and their boards of registrars understand domicile and residency for voting purposes, summer residents cannot vote at town meetings or local elections.
That is to say there is proper gatekeeping of the voter rolls to ensure that only full-time permanent year-round residents vote.
