To the Editor:
Carl Gibbons is a gentle man who can often be seen working along Nugent Stretch steadfastly building piles of brush.
This past week, I stopped to follow through on my desire to thank him personally rather than just to yell “thank you” out my car window.
I asked if he was doing his Boy Scout duty and earning another badge.
“Oh, no, no, no. I just want everything to look nice as people drive through Rockport.”
How wonderful is that?
