To the editor:
As an employee for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who frequently interacts with the public, I understand the importance of expedient, thoughtful, and intelligent responses to public concerns and inquiries.
People today, unfortunately, do not expect quick and helpful responses from government.
At the local level, Patricia Brown is determined to debunk this notion. In recent interactions with the town clerk's office, Ms. Brown assisted me tremendously by providing timely direction and guidance, which took the uncertainty out of a stressful situation.
Her efficiency is a result of her knowledge, experience, and respect for the people to whom she is accountable — the taxpayers.
I urge my fellow Rockporters to vote for Patricia Brown for town clerk on May 8.
