Letters: Harrison has what it takes for selectman

To the editor:

I am writing in enthusiastic support of the candidacy of Ann Harrison for Selectman.

As many of you know, I have had almost 30 years of experience in town government and I am acutely aware of how important experience is to the job of selectman. As a selectman, it is important to not only have good ideas about how to run the town but to be aware of the myriad of complex laws and regulations that the Town must adhere to.

In addition, experience in town government as to what has been done and what hasn’t is a definite plus. Without question Ann has all of that experience.

Ann’s past service, including the Finance Committee with three years as chairman and a nine years on the School Committee, make here uniquely qualified among the current slate of candidates to serve the town. She has always approached her town assignments with enthusiasm and an incredibly thorough attention to detail, and these qualities have served the Town well.

In short, the town will benefit once again from Ann’s experience and it is my pleasure to recommend her to you as a selectman.
