---- — In the past 10 days alone, we’ve seen chilling stories of hate, from the horrific Connecticut school shootings, to grisly local cases of extreme animal cruelty and a chiling potential gun threat at Gloucester High School.
Yet we have also seen so many people reaching out to help their neighbors, all in the spirit of celebrating Christmas. And as we gather tonight and Tuesday to mark this special time of year, let’s do so while recognizing its true spirit — one of love, peace and rebirth.
Above all, Christmas serves as a reminder to us all the things that are most important — the love and support of our families and friends. And that’s a spirit well worth celebrating.
Merry Christmas to all.
