To the Editor:
The headline in Monday’s Times — “Tisei gains on Tierney in race” — might better have read “gains on Tierney in financial race.”
I believe it would be better for you to ask who is winning the hearts and minds of voters in Massachusetts, rather than who has the biggest war chest. And it would be better for your reading public to address which of Mr. Tierney’s opinions and past House votes does Tisei disagree with. Do we know?
A move toward substantive issues and away from the horse race would better serve your readers and encourage them to think about the real issues facing our country and which of these men’s policies we agree with.
