McCalla retires after 34 years of service

The First National Bank of Ipswich recently announced the retirement of Senior Vice President Dale H. McCalla.

McCalla joined the bank in July 1973, and throughout his 34-year tenure worked in several areas of the bank, beginning as branch manager of the Essex branch and subsequently serving in the key positions of loan officer, facilities manager, operations officer, security officer and compliance officer.

A native of Lakewood, Ohio, McCalla graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a degree in business administration.

"Dale's loyalty and dedication exemplify the commitment we have to provide our customers with high quality service. Whether it was security, compliance, loans or other day-to-day issues, Dale cared deeply about our customers and his colleagues. That kind of caring is what makes the difference in a community bank such as ours," said Russell Cole, president and chief executive officer, in a statement.

McCalla and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Gloucester.
