Harmeling PT opens Gloucester office

Harmeling Physical Therapy and Sports Fitness Inc. has announced the opening of a new location in Gloucester at 8 Blackburn Center.

The former site of Essex County Rehabilitation Associates, the new office is the fourth location for the outpatient physical therapy private practice which specializes in orthopedic and sports injury rehabilitation. Additional offices are located in Danvers, Wenham and Wilmington.

"Harmeling Physical Therapy is excited to have the opportunity to serve the Cape Ann community," said owner Peter Harmeling in a statement. "Our staff is fantastic. We love what we do and look forward to assisting the people of Gloucester and the surrounding area."

Crosby joins Sandy Bay Stables

Sandy Bay Stables in Rockport as announced the return of Rockport native Kathleen Crosby.

Crosby offers horse training and dressage lessons to boarders, haul-ins and students.

Crosby is a U.S. Dressage Federation bronze, silver and gold medalist. Her gold medals were awarded for high achievement at the Grand Prix Level. Crosby was also on the U.S. Equestrian Team's (U.S.E.T) Long-List at Grand Prix, where she trained with then team trainer and rider Harry Boldt of Germany.

Most of Crosby's long-term training over the past 22 years has been with Olympian Carol Lavell, who led the U.S. Equestrian team to a bronze medal at the Barcelona Olympics.

"We are so lucky to have this caliber of talent on the North Shore, let alone right here on Cape Ann," said Krissie Burnham, owner of Sandy Bay Stables, in a statement. "Kathleen Crosby has a lot to offer to the serious equestrian and we are more than thrilled to have her on our team."
