BOSTON (AP) — There's more reason to give thanks at the pump this Thanksgiving.

The price of a gallon of self-serve, regular gasoline in Massachusetts has dropped to below $2 for the first time in more than 31âÑ2 years.

AAA Southern New England found in its weekly survey released Monday that regular unleaded fell another 17 cents in the past week to an average of $1.91 per gallon.

That's $1.10 per gallon less than last Thanksgiving.

The last time gas in Massachusetts was below $2 was March 14, 2005.

The national average is $1.97.
