Kara E. DeMarco and Mark W. Dalius

Kara Elizabeth DeMarco and Mark William Dalius were married on Aug. 16, 2008 with the Rev. Robert W. Markham III officiating. A reception was held at the Elks at Bass Rocks in Gloucester. The bride's father John, gave his daughter in marriage.

Kara is the daughter of Patricia Gale of Rockport and John DeMarco and his wife Rosemarie of Rockport. Mark is the son of James and Kathryn Dalius of Kreamer, Pa.

The maid of honor was Robin M. Drury. The bridesmaids were Julie C. H. Haiar, Jody L. Omohundro, and Molly K.T. Silver.

The best man was Matthew J. Pothier. The ushers were Matthew J. Dalius, Michael L. Dalius, both brothers of the groom, and Brian A. Eden.

Kara graduated from Rockport High School in 1996. She received a B.S in Accounting from Syracuse University in 2000. She works as a Principal Tax Accountant at Raytheon Company in Waltham.

Mark graduated from Middleburg High School in Pennsylvania. He received a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University in 2000 and is pursuing an MBA at Boston University. He works as the Head Developer at Curaspan Health Group in Newton.

The couple vacationed in Anguilla for their honeymoon.

They currently reside in Brighton.
