On Nov. 1,2008 a 60th surprise wedding anniversary celebration for Libby and Anita Curcuru was held at the home of their daughter, June Cook-Madruga, and son-law, Bob Madruga. Present were sons, Philip Curcuru and wife Jill Provencal, Stephen Curcuru and wife Lesley Curcuru. Also present were grandchildren, Robert Madruga and wife Monica, Carley and husband Tony Ranaldi, Adam Cook, and Bennet, Stephen and Brittany Curcuru. Two special great-grandchildren were also present, Ryan Madruga and Nicholas Ranaldi. An elegant dinner and family memories were enjoyed during the celebration.
Married on Nov. 7,1948, the Curcuru's have enjoyed many years of traveling, together around the world to exotic places including Hong Kong, New Guinea, Alaska and Hawaii. They spend winters in Fort Myers, Fla. and summers in Gloucester, residing on Vine Street.
