Melissa M. D'Antonio and Wesley S. Lassen

Melissa Marie D'Antonio and Wesley S. Lassen were married on Oct. 25, 2008 at St. John's Church in Gloucester. The Reverend Richard Simeone officiated the ceremony. The bride's father Ben, gave his daughter in marriage. The reception was held at the Elks at Bass Rocks in Gloucester.

Melissa is the daughter of Ben and Sally D'Antonio of Gloucester. Wesley is the son of Wendy and Jerry Shaw of Cutchogue, N.Y. and Peter Lassen of Huntington, N.Y.

The maid of honor was Coutney Olbres of Charlestown, R.I. The bridesmaids were Kristin Telles of Gloucester and Deanna Plumb of Rockaway, N.J. The flower girls were Madelyn D'Antonio, daughter of Michael and Lish of Haverhill and Gracie Marshall, daughter of Kristina and Clay of Portland, Ore.

The best man was Brent Lassen of Queen, N.Y. The ushers were Michael Cormio of Saugus, Michael D'Antonio of Haverhill, and Cole Marshall of Portland, Ore. The ring bearers were Henry D'Antonio, son of Michael and Lish of Haverhill and Arthur Lassen, son of Brent and Jessika of Queens.

Melissa is a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1997. She received her degree in Human Development and Family Studied from the University of Rhode Island in 2001. She will be receiving her Masters of Education in School Counseling from Salem State College in spring of 2009.

Wesley is a graduate of Huntington High School in Huntington, N.Y., Class of 1996. He received a degree in Business Management from Hartwick College in 2000. He is employed as the General Manager at New England Running Company in Beverly.

The couple vacationed at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for their honeymoon.

They reside in Gloucester.
