Dear God we give you the praise
For all mothers upon your earth
Their times of advice and love they gave
Since the very beginning of our births
From the days and nights of changing diapers
To that lasting hug they would give
The tears of doubt they wiped
In sharing your gift of life we've lived
Mothers they can be of aging hearts
Or just barely out of their teens
The wisdom they gave will never part
They've passed on to us what true Faith means
We close this moment of love and praise
By giving our thanks to you Father God
Of this blessed guidance of all our days
Through all our trials and tribulations upon your sod
