Manchester goings on

Events listed here are open to the public and sponsored by nonprofit groups unless otherwise noted. Student records

All temporary student school records from the Manchester Essex Regional School Class of 2002 are scheduled to be destroyed by July 24. Anyone who would like to obtain their records should call 978-768-1192 by July 17.

Painting exhibition

A plein air painting exhibition with more than 30 regional artists is taking place now through July 31, at the historic Trask House, 11 Union St. Paintings of Manchester will be on exhibit and for sale. Recovery program

An AA open speaker meeting is held every Thursday from 8 to 9 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 69 School St.

COA cookout

Manchester senior citizens are invited to attend a cookout, sponsored in part by the Friends of the Council on Aging, on Tuesday, July 21, noon, at Tuck's Point. Menu will include steak tips and chicken kabobs, corn on the cob, salad, rolls and butter, beverages and dessert. Cost is $10 per person. Reservations and prepayment are needed by July 14. The COA van is available for transportation. To sign up, call 978-526-7500.

VNA clinic

VNA Care Network offers free health care clinics for residents 60 and older. The local clinic is at the Congregational Chapel, Chapel Lane. It is open the first and third Thursday of every month, 10 a.m. to noon. Call 888-663-3688, ext. 5603 or 978-283-2020, ext. 5603.

Manchester Singers
