Karaoke night

Get your groove on

Who: Mark Pelosi and Groove Therapy

Where: Elliot's at the Blackburn, Gloucester

When: 9 p.m.

Local band Groove Therapy performs at Elliot's at the Blackburn, formally known as The Blackburn Tavern. This is the band's first performance at this venue in its new incarnation. Enjoy a fun-filled evening of music and dancing.

Hoodoo? You do!

Who: Hoodoo Revelator

Where: Latitude 43, Gloucester

When: 9:00 p.m.

Rock-n-Blues band Hoodoo Revelator will perform their originals along with their versions of blues and rock classics. Heard on WZLZ, WBOS, and various other Boston radio stations, the band has been getting great reviews on their shows from fans and music critics alike. Paula's talented new band plays hits from the 90s and 00s.

The Tide Is High at The Gull

Who: The Baird Bros. & Dr. Keen in The Tide

Where: The Gull Restaurant and Sports pub, Gloucester

When: 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

The Beatles specialty band, The Tide will bring their Baird Bros. lunacy to The Gull. These Gloucester Beatles featuring guitar virtouso Dr. David Keen, will charm the smiles and dancing feet out of their audience, singing through the decades of classic Beach Boy, Stones, Steely Dan and some power hits of recent rock history that their fans have come to rely on. SATURDAY

Montgomery's back

Who: The James Montgomery Band featuring Fly Amero

Where: The Essex Room at Woodman's, Essex

When: 7:30 p.m.

The James Montgomery Band will be performing at the Essex Room for the second time this year; it will be the first time for Amero. Amero started performing on stage as a young teenager, with a heavy influences ranging from Bob Dylan and James Brown to Aretha Franklin.

Amero is currently touring as a member of Orleans and fronts the thrilling rock/blues act known as "The Big Strum."

Sorellanza Fall Concert

Who: Sorellanza, a cappella women's chorus

Always a great Dog Bar night — Renee is a terrific vocalist and Joe does a great job backing her up. With a diverse selection of songs from Janice Joplin, to Grace Slick and Pink Floyd, these two always put on a great show.

SUNDAY

Dog Bar Sundays

Who: Marina Evans

Where: Dog Bar, Gloucester

When: 8 to 11 p.m.

Marina Evans will be hosting Dog Bar Sunday this week. She will be playing a mix of originals and interesting acoustic versions of covers.

Celtic Music Session

Who: Michael O'Leary & Friends

Where: Elliott's, Gloucester

When: 5 to 8 p.m.

In the style of an Irish house or pub 'seisiun,' an acoustic session of mostly traditional songs and tunes from the Celtic countries.
