February 26, 2008 06:31 am Richard Deamelio, 56, of 148 Washington St., Apt. 1, had a charge of assault and battery dismissed yesterday after his wife asserted marital privilege in Gloucester District Court. Deamelio was arrested Nov. 10 after his wife called asking police to talk to her husband, who she said had gotten "a little out of control." When they arrived, police determined that a verbal argument had escalated into a shoving match between the two. r Eugene Graham, 39, of 10 Columbia St., pleaded guilty to a charges of disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana yesterday. He was ordered to pay $1,200 in fines. Graham was arrested on Oct. 8 after Patrolman Michael Williams noticed him walking under construction scaffolding on Main Street and knocking out the lights. After Graham was arrested for disorderly conduct, police found marijuana on him. r Rocco Cunsolo, 21, of 12A Summer St., No. 7, Manchester, was ordered to serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer yesterday. Patrolmen Joseph Parady, Clifford Alves and Christopher Genovese were dispatched to a Centennial Avenue home for the report of a domestic incident Sunday. When the patrolmen arrived, they were let in by a woman who brought them upstairs, where Cunsolo was arguing with another man. Police separated the two men, and according to the report Parady could smell alcohol on Cunsolo. When Parady tried to handcuff Cunsolo to continue the investigation, Cunsolo struck him in the chest with his elbow. According to the police report, it took all three patrolmen to get Cunsolo under control and into handcuffs. He struggled on his way into the cruiser and was uncooperative during the arrest process, the report said. r Rachel M. Walsh, 29, of 50B New Way Lane had a charge of unlicensed driving dismissed for $100 in court costs and was ordered to pay a $100 fine for speeding. Walsh was pulled over Saturday by Patrolman Kevin Mackey on Route 128 north for speeding. Her license had expired. r Michael Kariores, 35, of 156 Bridge St., Beverly, pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, deemed served yesterday. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was sentenced to six months in jail with 27 days to be served and deemed served, and the balance suspended for a year, and to pay a $90 victim/witness assessment. The charges stemmed from a March 2006 attack that Kariores allegedly made on a Gloucester man. According to the police report, Kariores argued with the other man and then held a knife up to his throat. He left the house after the argument and police tracked him down in Grant Circle, where he was arrested. r Christopher Jacobs, 40, of 562 Essex Ave. pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime. He was ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment, a $350 batterer's fee and was placed on probation for a year. He had a charge of possession of a class B substance dismissed. Jacobs was arrested Feb. 16 by Rockport police after they were dispatched to South Street for a domestic argument. There, they determined that an argument between Jacobs and his girlfriend had gotten physical. The girlfriend said that Jacobs had attacked her and tried to bite her nose while at the doctor's office. When she returned home from the doctor, he attacked her again and threw her in the closet, she told police. According to the report, she had visible injuries. When police tried to arrest Jacobs, he attempted to kick a patrolman and was screaming and uncooperative, according to the report. r Michael J. O'Donnell, 54, of 10 Cunningham Road pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of assault and battery stemming from two arrests and a long history of domestic incidents as logged by police. O'Donnell was sentenced to 18 months in jail, with 21 days deemed served and the balance suspended. He was placed on 18 months of probation and ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment. The first assault and battery charge stemmed from a report by his wife on Jan. 3 that O'Donnell had assaulted her. The second charge occurred after a Feb. 14 arrest where O'Donnell's wife reported abuse and showed police knives that he had hidden around his home. r Joseph Susanno, 29, of 20 Gould Court, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with a suspended license and was ordered to pay a $500 fine on Friday. He was also held responsible for driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Susanno was pulled over by Patrolman Christopher Frates on Maplewood Avenue on Dec. 21 after Frates noticed his expired registration sticker. r Mark E. Groves, 50, of 507 Washington St. was ordered to pay $653 restitution and received a general continuance in a charge of larceny of more than $253. Groves' former employer, Maritime Transport, alleged in June that Groves had driven several people to the airport for the company but had not turned over the money paid to him for the service. Groves told police he was keeping the money because the owner of the company owed him for hours worked and gas. r Vasilev Vladimir, 19, of 35 Mount Vernon St. admitted to sufficient facts in a charge of possession of a Class D substance and being a minor in possession of alcohol on Friday. The charges were continued without a finding for a year and Vladimir was ordered to pay $21 per month for probation supervision. Vladimir was also held responsible for a marked lanes violation. On Nov. 30, Essex Patrolman Justin Zwicker pulled Vladimir over after he observed him drive over the center line on Southern Avenue six times. Zwicker also saw Vladimir reach down to move something when Zwicker activated his blue lights. After receiving permission to search the car, police found bottles of "Twisted Tea" alcohol in a backpack and a bag with marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. r Mary Martin, 52, of 374 Washington St. received a general continuance of one year on charges of breaking and entering during the daytime to commit a felony and larceny of less than $250 on Friday. Police said that Martin had stolen a purse from the backseat of a car that was running in the parking lot of Addison Gilbert Hospital. According to the police report, a woman who worked with hospital patients reported the purse had been stolen after she left the car for two minutes to go in and get her patient. The woman said that Martin called her later that day to tell her she'd found the purse at a bus stop near the hospital and to ask for a reward. When the woman picked up the purse, she noticed it was missing cash and a small quantity of prescription drugs, and refused to give Martin a reward. Martin eventually admitted to police she had seen the purse in the running car and stolen it, and returned $6 of the missing cash. r Randy A. Waycotte, 42, of 1 Plymouth Drive, Saco, Maine had a charge of the malicious destruction of property worth more than $250 dismissed and admitted to sufficient facts in a charge of assault and battery on Friday. The charge was continued without a finding for six months and Waycotte was ordered to pay a $50 victim/witness assessment. Waycotte was arrested after he was involved in a fight at a downtown restaurant around 11 p.m. on Jan. 1. According to witnesses, Waycotte had hit another man and attempted to throw him through the window of the restaurant. In the process, the two men broke the door at the front entrance of the building.
