Arrest
r Police arrested a 36-year-old man on outstanding warrants after a passer-by reported he was sitting at the train depot on Railroad Avenue, highly intoxicated and bleeding.
Around 4:36 p.m. on Monday, Patrolman Joseph Catarino located Jeremy A. Jacques of 74 Veterans Way at the depot and noted he had cuts on his face, head and hands and was intoxicated. Jacques refused medical attention, but police found he did have warrants out for his arrest.
Accident
r A minor two-car motor vehicle accident at the Bass Avenue lights resulted in one of the vehicle's passengers being transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital for reported back pain. The accident, which occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, did not appear to result in damage to either of the cars.
Incidents
r A man reported that someone had fraudulently purchased six cell phones from his account at an Eastern Avenue cell phone store around 5:05 p.m. on Monday. Detectives are investigating.
r An intoxicated man who was passed out in a Dale Avenue apartment building was transported to Addison Gilbert Hopsital around 6:10 p.m. on Monday.
r A Beacon Street resident reported that a man's bicycle covered with stickers had been stolen from her backyard yesterday morning.
Fire record
r Firefighters extinguished a brush fire on the Gloucester/Rockport line with the help of the Rockport Forest Fire Department yesterday afternoon.
The Fire Department received a call about a brush fire near the MBTA tracks around noon. After a lengthy search in the area, they were redirected to the area near the Babson Reservoir by a follow-up phone call. The fire covered about a quarter to half an acre and was extinguished in about two hours.
r The rescue squad transported patients to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Middle and Fremont streets, Dale Avenue and Starknaught Heights on Monday and from East Main and Prospect streets yesterday.
