March 28, 2008 06:36 am Pregnant when she entered her freshman year, Amanda Ireland's high school career has been intricately wrapped in the upbringing of her daughter, now 3. The simplest goals have turned into monumental achievements as Amanda, now 17, attempts to balance teen motherhood with an investment in her future. In the wake of revelations over the alarming spike in pregnancies at Gloucester High School, Amanda shared her story and the conflict of challenge and joy that her daughter has brought to her life.
