ESSEX — Police received a report at 8:51 p.m. Thursday from a Conomo Point resident, who said he had received 10 harassing phone calls. The matter is under investigation.
r Firefighters yesterday at 8:07 a.m. responded to John Wise Avenue after receiving a report that a transformer had exploded. Several homes on John Wise Avenue were without power, police said, until National Grid restored it later in the day.
