Gloucester Seafood Display Auction
The Gloucester Seafood Display Auction handled 21,100 pounds of fish Thursday.
The average price per pound of the top five species sold:
Market cod: 7,200 pounds ($1.56)
Ocean perch: 4,000 pounds (51 cents)
Haddock scrod: 1,300 pounds ($1.72)
Large cod: 1,100 pounds ($1.95)
Skate wings: 1,000 pounds (47 cents)
Other landings
No landings were reported yesterday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston or at the Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 22,600 pounds of fish Monday.
