Gloucester Seafood Display Auction
The Gloucester Seafood Display Auction handled 118,600 pounds of fish Thursday.
The average price per pound of the top five species sold:
Medium pollock: 33,700 pounds (70 cents)
Ocean perch: 30,800 pounds (47 cents)
Haddock scrod: 13, 600 pounds ($1.92)
Market cod: 10,500 pounds ($2.31)
Large monktail: 3,000 pounds ($3.31)
Other landings
No landings were reported yesterday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
The Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford handled 74,700 pounds of fish yesterday.
No auction was conducted Wednesday at the Portland, Maine, Display Auction.
