Extended Marine Forecast

From Merrimack River, out 25 nautical miles, to Plymouth, out 40 nautical miles, including Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:

A small craft advisory remains in effect from this afternoon through this evening.

Today, north winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming northeast around noon, then becoming east 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots late. Seas around 2 feet. Rain likely in the morning, then rain in the afternoon with visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Tonight, east winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 30 knots, becoming northeast 25 to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 4 feet, building to 4 to 7 feet after midnight. Rain. Visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Tomorrow, northeast winds 25 to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots, becoming north 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. A chance of rain. Patchy fog in the morning with visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Tomorrow night, northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 8 feet, subsiding to 4 to 6 feet after midnight.

Sunday, north winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots, becoming east late. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

Sunday night, southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to 20 knots, becoming east 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 30 knots late. Seas 2 to 3 feet. A chance of rain.

Monday, northeast winds 25 to 30 knots, increasing to 30 to 40 knots until late evening, then diminishing to 25 to 35 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 7 feet, building to 9 to 13 feet. Rain through early evening, then rain likely. Patchy fog in the late afternoon and overnight with visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles.

Tuesday, north winds 20 to 25 knots, diminishing to 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Gusts up to 30 knots. Seas 8 to 13 feet, subsiding to 7 to 10 feet in the late afternoon and overnight. Patchy fog. Rain likely. A chance of rain. Visibility 1 to 3 nautical miles
