A Gloucester couple had assault and battery charges filed against one another dismissed yesterday in Gloucester District Court.

Cosmo Parisi, 60, of 4 Alpine Court, Gloucester, had charges of assault and battery dismissed, while his wife Janice Parisi, 54, same address, had charges of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon dismissed. The couple was arrested in December after an altercation in which Janice Parisi had allegedly pulled a knife.

Rocco Cunsolo, 22, of 12A Summer St., was ordered to pay $1,500 after pleading guilty to a charge of tagging property. Cunsolo was also ordered to pay $200 in court costs after pleading guilty to charges of disturbing the peace. Cunsolo was arrested in November for spray-painting the Family Dollar store on Whistlestop Way.

Paul A. Nuccio, 25, of 5 Heritage Way, North Reading, had charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and driving to endanger dismissed. The charges stemmed from a June 2008 incident in which he allegedly passed out at the wheel on Eastern Avenue in Essex.

Mark W. Leonard, 33, of 145 Essex Ave., Gloucester, had assault and battery charges dismissed due to a failure to prosecute. Leonard was arrested in April at his home after an altercation with his wife.

Kathleen M. Crosby, 51, of 1 Pooles Lane, Rockport, had charges of driving with a suspended license dismissed, pending her payment $150 in court costs. Crosby was arrested in March after being pulled over by Rockport Police for driving with a headlight out.

Airton Meira, 38, of 2 Hillary St., Gloucester, had charges of driving without a license dismissed so long as he pays $100 in court costs. The charges stemmed from a March incident where he was pulled over by Essex police, who were randomly running license plates.

John D. Beaton, 20, of 61 Squam Road, Rockport, had charges of shoplifting and being a minor in possession of alcohol dismissed at the request of the Probation Department. The charges stem from a February incident. No more information was available.

Ann Weld-Harrington, 66, of 186 Millbrook Park, Rockport, pleaded guilty to shoplifting charges and was ordered to pay a $500 fine. Weld-Harrington was arrested in April for stealing yogurt from IGA, a Rockport grocery store.

Paul Farrenkopt, 60, of 47 Lebarron Road, Essex, had a charge of check larceny dismissed as long as he pays $367.37 restitution. A charge of uttering a false check was also dismissed so long as he pays $250 in court costs.

The charges against Farrenkopt stem from a March incident in which he paid for groceries at IGA in Rockport with a check, even though his account was closed. According to police reports, Farrenkopt left the store while employees were attempting to process the check.
