Arrests
Ronald Gravel, 61, of 38 Summer St., was arrested Monday on an outstanding warrant for a restraining order violation in Lynn District Court.
Gravel was arrested without incident at his home on Summer Street at 10:45 p.m. Monday.
Michael A. Viator, 36, of 88 Cherry St., was arrested Monday night on charges of domestic assault and battery.
Viator was arrested after police responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic incident on Cherry Hill Road at 10:15 p.m. Monday. No further information was available.
Incidents
A Lexington Avenue woman reported an attempted scam to police at 5:20 p.m. Monday. According to police reports, the woman received a call from somebody saying that her grandson was in a Canadian prison and was asking for money. The woman did not give any of her personal information.
A Summit Street woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 5:25 p.m. Monday.
Police received a 911 call at 7:15 p.m. Monday reporting that a moped was struck by a motor vehicle on Cherry Street. When police arrived, a 16-year-old Reservoir Road boy told police he was hit by a car driven by a 21-year-old Essex Avenue woman after she skidded on the wet road surface. The boy, who had a finger injury and a sore leg, was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital. No citations were issued.
A Madison Avenue man reported to police at 8:30 p.m. Monday that the license plates were stolen from his car while parked at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers.
Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Western Avenue near Kent Circle at 10 p.m. Monday. According to police reports, a car driven by a 17-year-old Gloucester man was rear-ended by a car driven by a 17-year-old Doanne Road man. There were no reported injuries.
A Veterans Way resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 10:05 p.m. Monday.
A Gloucester woman reported to police that her tires were slashed while her car was parked on Main Street sometime after midnight yesterday morning.
Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle on Hartz Street yesterday afternoon. No further information was available.
