Arrests

Deputies from the Essex County Sheriff's office chased Kevin Farlass of 18 Sayward St., second floor, Gloucester, down Western Avenue after he allegedly attacked a Fiesta-goer on Sunday.

Farlass, 34, was charged with disorderly conduct.

A crowd of people ran from the area to get away from the fracas and one woman who fell was taken to Addison Gilbert Hospital, according to the police report.

Mishelle Lazarus, 28, of 40 Wildewood Drive, Lynnfield, was arrested Monday night on a charge of drunken driving.

Lazarus was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Monday when police noticed her sitting in her car, which was parked the wrong way on Nautillus Road.

George A. Doherty, 19, of 16 Columbia St., Gloucester, was arrested Monday morning on charges of larceny of a firearm, unarmed robbery and assault and battery.

Doherty was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Monday after police responded to an alarm at the bank in Gloucester High School. No further information was available.

Incidents

A Peabody man reported Monday at 8:41 a.m. that his 12-foot Achilles inflatable boat had disappeared from a wharf at Cape Ann Marina on Essex Avenue. He said people in the area had heard a "commotion" around 4 a.m., but had not seen what caused it.

The Coast Guard and Gloucester Harbormaster were notified.

A skirmish broke out on Middle Street early Sunday morning after a woman, appearing to be drunk, tripped and fell in the street and three men nearby thought she had been pushed. No one was taken to the hospital and everyone involved agreed later that it was a "misunderstanding," police said. No charges were filed.

Police began investigating an assault reported by a 59-year-old man on Addison Street Sunday at 9:36 p.m. A photo array was scheduled to identify a suspect.

An 18-year-old Gloucester woman reported being assaulted by a 19-year-old Gloucester woman on Western Avenue on Sunday at 11:23 p.m. The incident is under investigation.

Employees at 7-Eleven on Maplewood Avenue told police that two females stole sandwiches from the shop just after midnight Monday and sped off in a car with plates reportedly registered to a Rockport woman. Police on Monday were waiting for surveillance tape to continue the investigation.

Police received two calls complaining of a loud party at the intersection of Western and Centennial avenues just after 1 a.m. Monday. The party was moved indoors.

A caller reported two young people fighting on Washington Street at 1:23 a.m. Monday. No combatants were found by police.

A Rockport woman reported to police at 7:10 p.m. Monday that her purse was stolen while her car was parked on Railroad Avenue. Police have no suspects or witnesses.

The Fire Department extinguished a Dumpster fire on the property of Custom Auto Parts on Washington Street at 9:15 p.m. Monday. A store employee told police he heard kids laughing prior to the fire, while a witness told police she suspected a 26-year-old homeless man who was standing near the Dumpster before the fire. Police have not filed charges in the incident.

Transports

Rescue squad was called at 5:36 p.m. about a man who injured his back during Sunday's Greasy Pole competition at Pavilion Beach. The call was canceled and no contestants were transported to the hospital.

A 14-year-old Rockport resident with "possible alcohol poisoning" was transported from the Fort Square playground to Addison Gilbert Hospital on Sunday at 8:08 p.m.

An "intoxicated teenager" was transported by rescue squad from the Gloucester train station to Addison Gilbert Hospital on Sunday at 10:35 p.m.

The Fire Department rescue squad transported a woman on Ellery Street not feeling well, a woman having a seizure on Washington Street, and a man on Shore Road having a seizure Sunday to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

A Beverly man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue at 6:15 p.m. Monday for intoxication. Police were called to Rogers Street near Porter Street on reports that an intoxicated person got into a car. Police arrived to find the man getting out of his car and a Beverly woman intoxicated in the front seat.
