July 04, 2009 05:19 am ESSEX — Police received a report that two parked vehicles had been struck by a moving vehicle on Main Street near Periwinkles Restaurant on Thursday at 4:22 p.m. Officers arrived to find that the car was gone, but are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run. Police received a report that two laptops were stolen from the "Grown Ups" movie set at Centennial Grove at 5:52 p.m. Thursday. The matter is under investigation.
