Arrests

Edgar Reyes, 30, of 22 Shepherd St., was arrested Saturday on charges of domestic assault and battery.

Reyes was arrested at 1 p.m. Saturday after police were called to Warner Street for a domestic disturbance.

Jonathan C. Herro, 30, of 34 Cleveland St., was arrested Saturday on charges of drunken driving and disorderly conduct.

Herro was arrested at 12:55 a.m. Saturday after being involved in a fight in the middle of Sargent Street. Police are also seeking charges of malicious destruction of property against Herro on reports that he kicked his mother's front door in Sunday afternoon.

Incidents

Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Eastern Avenue at 4:30 p.m. Friday. According to police reports, a Gloucester man rear-ended a California women while driving on Eastern Avenue. Both vehicles sustained scratches on their bumpers, there were no injuries, tows or citations issued.

Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on the intersection of Western Avenue and Middle Street at 9 p.m. Friday. According to police reports a car pulling out of Middle Street collided with a vehicle in the intersection. There were no reported injuries.

Police investigated a hit-and-run accident on Western Avenue at 11:10 p.m. Friday. When police arrived, a Colorado man told them his car was hit by a dark colored pickup truck, that then fled the scene. The Colorado man's vehicle sustained damage to the driver's side quarter panel.

A Prospect Street man reported to police at 11:35 p.m. Friday that he was punched by another man near his home and sustained a cut on his face. Police responded to the scene where a witness told them the man was intoxicated and fell down, and no assault occurred.

Two Gloucester men were transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad after being found passed out on a Willowood Road lawn at 1:05 a.m. Saturday. According to police the two men were highly intoxicated and had no idea where they were.

An unresponsive male was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 3:45 a.m. Saturday from his Maplewood Avenue home due to an apparent overdose.

A Warner Street woman reported to police at 9:40 a.m. Saturday that her car antenna was bent sometime overnight. The woman told police she is been repeatedly harassed by two Gloucester women. It is unknown whether the incident was random or an act of continued harassment.

A Hesperus Avenue woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

A Maplewood Avenue woman reported $200 stolen from her purse sometime Friday night. She suspects a Weymouth man. The incident is under investigation. Police received a report at 5:25 p.m. Saturday that the same Weymouth man threatened a different Maplewood Avenue woman and the threat may have included a gun. Police contacted the Weymouth man who said he threatened the woman because she had his clothes and he was in Weymouth with no intentions of driving to Gloucester.

A Dale Avenue resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 6:05 p.m. Saturday after complaining of chest pains.

Police were called to Commonwealth Avenue at 6:50 p.m. for reports of an out of control 25-year-old man. The man left the scene prior to police arrival.

A Rocky Neck Avenue woman was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad at 1:45 a.m. yesterday.

A Gloucester man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Pigeon Cove Foods after falling off of the wharf and onto a fishing boat.
