ROCKPORT — A 17-year-old Danvers girl was arrested early Saturday after police stopped her vehicle at the Five Corners at 1:14 a.m.
Angela M. Morgan, of 52 Purchase St., Apt. 3, Danvers, faces charges of drunken driving, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and violating her learner's permit guidelines.
Nathan M. Seavey, 27, of 905 Main St., Apt. 101, Cambridge, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. Saturday after his vehicle was stopped by police at the intersection of Beach and Granite streets. Seavey faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
Police suspect a squirrel or similarly-sized animal sparked a small fire atop an electrical pole in front of 207 Granite St. on Friday morning. The Fire Department responded to the scene at 5:40 a.m. and extinguished the flames. No power outages were reported.
The Fire Department responded to a home at the intersection of Clement and Parker streets at 4:52 p.m. Saturday after police received a report of an odor of smoke in the area. Officials determined the smell was caused by a nearby home's outdoor fire pit.
Rescuers transported an elderly woman after she suffered a fall on Bearskin Neck to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Saturday at 11:40 a.m.
