July 06, 2008 10:05 pm A Gloucester woman is facing a charge for a third offense of drunk driving after police in Essex pulled her over last night. Irene Symonds, 51, of 16 Magnolia Ave., Gloucester, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, third offense, and an inspection sticker violation. Police received a call from someone who was concerned that Symonds was intoxicated and driving her car through town. Police spotted her car on Martin Street and pulled her over. Patrolmen Justin Zwicker and James Romeos made the arrest. r Police were called to the Cape Ann Golf Course at 2:39 p.m. Friday for a report of an unruly group of youths. The group left when the police asked them to. r The ambulance transported a patient to Beverly Hospital from Main Street on Friday. r The ambulance transported a patient to a local hospital from Lufkin Street at 2:25 a.m. yesterday. r A group of people at 150 Main St. were spoken to after police received a complaint about the noise they were making at 3:23 a.m. r The ambulance transported a patient to Beverly Hospital from Lufkin Point Lane at 11:25 a.m. yesterday.
