July 08, 2008 11:09 am A 43-year-old Gloucester man charged with larceny had his case dismissed yesterday by Judge Joseph Jennings in Gloucester District Court. Timothy Tetreault of 9 Chestnut St. had been charged after police received a report Feb. 18 that he had failed to return a mobile phone from an employer. r A 54-year-old Gloucester man facing charges of license plate violations, driving a car without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle had his case dismissed. John Thompson Jr., of 69A Atlantic Road, was stopped by Essex police on Eastern Avenue Feb. 28 when an officer said he was driving 46 in a 30 mph zone. The license plate on the car did not match the vehicle it was registered to, according to the police report. r A 28-year-old Chelsea man who pleaded guilty to trespassing yesterday received a 30 day suspended sentence and one year of probation. Wilfred Couchon of 45 4th St., Chelsea, was arrested July 4 after Rockport police responded to Kitefield Road after receiving a report of a man and woman arguing on the street. According to the police report, when officers arrived, Couchon ran went out after the man who had been arguing. r A 44-year-old Gloucester woman who pleaded guilty yesterday to shoplifting and had charges of drug possession continued without finding was sentenced to random drug screenings. Eileen Mahoney of 35 Elm St., 3rd floor, was arrested Jan. 9 after police received a report from the Dollar Store on Whistlestop Way of someone stuffing merchandise including bras and lip gloss in a bag and leaving the store without paying. Mahoney admitted to taking the items and returned them when identified by store employees to officers. r A 29-year-old Peabody man charged with receiving stolen property had his case continued without finding. Nicholas Cowley of 115 Lowell St., Apt. 17, Peabody was arrested Feb. 6 after police identified a car he was driving as stolen, according to the police report. Cowley was ordered to pay $160 in court costs.
