Arrests

Police executing a search warrant of a residence on Proctor Street at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday arrested Matthew Taylor, 21, of 44 Reynard St.

Taylor was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Dennis Mackillop, 29, of 55 Fort Square was arrested yesterday at 2:45 a.m. following a traffic stop on Eastern Avenue.

Mackillop was charged with drunken driving, with an open container of alcohol, a seat belt violation and speeding.

Incidents

Police at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday responded to Steve Connolly Seafood on Main Street after receiving a report that kids were swinging off a boom into the water. The group of children were told to leave.

Police responded to Perkins Street on Wednesday after receiving a report of a disturbance. Officers said they told a woman there to quiet down a clean up her language.

Police responded to Centennial Avenue at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that children were throwing water balloons at cars. No balloon-throwers were found.

Police responded to Centennial Avenue at 2:33 a.m. yesterday after receiving a report of a house party. Officers told the partygoers to end the party.

Police received a report yesterday at 8:51 a.m. that someone had overturned a portable toilets on Plum Cove Beach. The company that owns the toilet was notified.
