ROCKPORT | A Kitefield Road man was charged after police stopped a vehicle he was driving on Main Street at 7:41 a.m. Thursday. According to the police report, Paul Pelletier, 45, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, operating without an inspection sticker and operating an uninsured vehicle. Police had the vehicle towed by Tally's.

Police investigated a report of vandalism on Eden Road on Thursday morning. A resident called police after discovering a neighbor's mailbox in her front yard. During the investigation, police received additional reports of mailbox vandalism; a mailbox at 54 Eden Road was ripped off its post as was the mailbox for 28 Eden Road.

Rescuers transported a Granite Street man and women from Bearskin Neck and Granite Street to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Thursday.
